The ancient county of Peeblesshire, home of Peeblesshire Properties consists of several small towns and villages lying in picturesque countryside within the Scottish Borders in the renowned Tweed Valley. The landscape in this area is most spectacular ranging from rolling hillsides to attractive glens.

The River Tweed, one of the best salmon rivers in Europe, flows through the county and is a major attraction for anglers from all over the world.

Peeblesshire also boasts the oldest inhabited house in Scotland, Traquair House, dating back to the 12th century.  Another famous historical landmark is Neidpath Castle built in the 13th century and later converted to a tower house. It is now a local tourist attraction and also used for film and wedding locations.

The towns of Peeblesshire hold their individual festivals during the summer months, these range from mounted cavalcades to fancy dress parades, all of which are supported by the local communities.

Sport is high on the agenda in Peeblesshire with the Red Bull Run in Innerleithen offering many gruelling downhill mountain bike routes.  Glentress Forest near Peebles also offers excellent downhill trails suitable for all levels of skill together with a variety of other useful facilities.  The area also enjoys several golf courses including the recently developed 18-hole championship course at Cardrona which also boasts a four star hotel and leisure complex.
